15" Cricket Rigid Heddle Loom from Schacht

Start weaving with the best little loom around!

The Cricket Loom is compact, capable, and cute! The Cricket is made of high-quality maple plywood and hard maple and is left unfinished. Each Cricket comes with an 8-dent reed (sorry, no substitutions). We also have 5-, 10- and 12-dent reeds (available in the shop). Included are a threading hook, warping peg, table clamps, two shuttles, and two balls of yarn (yarn colors will vary).

This loom has a 15" weaving width, offering lots of flexibility in your choice of weaving projects, and it's very portable. Additional shuttles and pick-up sticks are available.

How does a rigid heddle loom make weaving fun and easy? When the heddle is moved from the neutral position to down or up positions, it creates a shed, or opening, where the weft can pass through. This makes weaving much quicker than picking each yarn up by hand as you would do with a frame loom.
