Workshop: Intro to Brioche Knitting with Makenzie Alvarez, 5/10/25, 2-4pm

Explore and develop the fundamental skills of brioche knitting flat. This class will teach you step by step instructions for two color rib brioche while knitting a swatch, how to read and with essential brioche stitches. Building a foundation of brioche knitting.

Skills Level: Advanced Beginner (comfortable knitting, purling, yarn overs, reading knitting instructions)

Your class fee includes yarn and a handout; please bring needles to class.

Materials:
US7/4.5 mm circular needle or DPNs
Worsted weight yarn in 2 high contrasting solid colors.
2 Stitch markers optional

You will receive a handout during class on basic brioche knitting, with brioche stitches covered during class, and photo tutorials.

Homework
Before you come to class, gather your materials, and have your yarn ready to go.
